All times are approximate and may depend on weather and tidal conditions. All passengers are asked to be at the ferry terminal at least 30 minutes before departure time. The crossing takes approximately 45 minutes. The only days we do not sail (weather permitting) are Christmas day and New Year's Day

Pentland Ferries timetable to and from Orkney fits in with most of the outer island ferries allowing passengers to travel to their destinations without the need for an overnight stay in between.

Please Note: Under 16's are not allowed to travel on the ferry unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. All pets must stay in your vehicle throughout the journey (guide dogs excepted).

Pentland Ferries Ltd now operate a no smoking policy on all of the company vessels and within any company vehicles and buildings.
