Booking
Pentland Ferries Booking Offices are situated at St Margaret's Hope and Gills Bay ferry terminals, this allows us to provide an up to date service and to let you know of any news that is relevant to your crossing, as well as local information.
We believe booking and travelling with us should be as easy as possible, therefore we recommend you book by telephoning our booking offices based at Gill’s Bay and St Margaret’s Hope. You will be guaranteed a friendly and personal service from either office.
If preferred you can email us to make your booking.
We ask you to be at the ferry terminal 30 minutes prior to sailing time and we would ask you to check-in at the office or with the purser. Payment can either be made onboard by cash or in the shoreside office by credit/debit card one hour before sailing. You can also pre-pay by booking over the internet.
We do not charge for amendments or cancellations. Internet bookings will be charged a cancellation fee if cancelled with less than 48 hours notice. We will not issue a refund if we have not been notified before the sailing date.
Vans, commercial vehicles and freight must contact our booking offices in order to obtain a quote and make a booking. Vans, commercial vehicles and freight cannot be booked via the internet.
If carrying Dangerous Goods this must be declared when booking with at least 24hours notice
