Pentland Ferries are currently looking for a Summer Steward to work on their busy passenger ro-ro service on the Pentland Firth Route onboard the MV Pentalina between May and August.
Our crews work on an even time rota of 2 weeks on 2 weeks off. Wages will be paid at current Company rates. (Details can be provided to suitable candidates on request).
Applicants require to be trained to STCW 95 standard (PST, PSSR, First-Aid and Fire-Fighting) and hold a valid medical certificate (ENG1). It would be an advantage to hold a Food Hygiene Certificate but not essential as training will be given.
Overnight accommodation cannot be provided and own transport would be preferred.

We are currently recruiting for the post of Rope Person to catch ropes and assist the safe docking of the Pentalina at Gills Bay, Canisbay. There is one full time and one part time position available.
The position will require applicants to be physically fit and ideally live in close proximity to the harbour. The regular hours of the post are 8.30am - 9.30am, 12.30pm - 1.30pm and 5.30pm - 6.30pm although this will vary during the summer months.
Days of work can be agreed on employment but both vacancies must include working a Friday.
